Greetings All,
I have an Australian Shepherd named Max, 6.5 years on the planet, intact male.
Raw Fed (Whole Prey Model) since he was weaned:
WHOLE PREY: Rabbits & Guinea Pigs
GROUND Whole Prey: Bison, Elk, Venison, Rabbit, Guinea Pigs, Quail, Pheasant, Pork, Llama, Alpaca, Goat, Beaver, Green Tripe.
FOOD SOURCES: HARE-TODAY.com and MYPETCARNIVORE.com
Dehydrated Organ Meat for Treats.
No vaccines EXCEPT one Parvo and one Distemper jab, one month apart, at about five and six months of age.
I worked for a while with a classical homeopath.
She gave him Phosphorous as his constitutional remedy.
Currently Max is, as he has always been since a puppy, vibrant, energetic, has a brilliant, bright mind, i.e. "smart as the dickens", an amazing appetite, and ever-at-the-ready to do "what's next", not overweight (in fact he lost 3 lbs.), and his coat is shiny and beautiful.
Supplements:
• 8.28. 2017 - Thytrophin 1 tab BID (per Jean Dodds)
• 10.9.2019 - WP Thyroid 3 grains BID (per Jean Dodds 10.9.19)
• About to Start: Dr. Dobias's Minerals and Vitamins for Dogs.
Chiropractic and Physical Therapy Sessions (for injuries sustained during a Coursing Ability Trial): About six times annually or as needed.
Here are his current issues.
NOTE: Issues #1 below would be the issue that needs input immediately since his extraction is in two days... that said, I do realize everything is connected !
1) Max broke a premolar on ~ 10.26.19 after gnawing on a new type of bully stick.
He’ll be having the extraction THIS Thursday, 11.14.19.
Isn’t there a homeopathic protocol for:
1) “The cut of the surgeon’s knife”… i.e,. Staphysagria?
2) Anesthesia
3) Best remedy for post-extraction pain
(I am in favor of Hypericum as I always use this remedy after any dental procedures, myself).
What is the best way of preparation of the remedy to give to the vet?
(Yes! the vet will administer the remedies right after the extraction).
=======================================================
2) Sore spots he keeps getting on his legs… it’s not from licking… he only licks AFTER he gets these sore spots. Currently he has to constantly wear the “cone of shame”… as it seems when one clears up, another pops up . . . This has been happening over the last several months.
========================================================
3) Heart murmur, possibly “high grade 2”. Diagnosed 11.7.19
An echocardiogram may possibly be in scheduled in the near future.
========================================================
4) Possibly hypothyroidism (per lab results from Jean Dodds/Hemopet), though, clinically, to look at him, he does not have the classic outward signs of this condition and his thyroid values have been slowly rising.

Thanks !
