Here's another emailed question from a member:
Here are some resources (log in at holisticactions.com to view these):
Stopped giving them heart worm meds. Do i do a microfileria test every 3 months and treat with sentinal if the test is ever positive? We are doing the heart-worm test twice a year, but what do i do if heart-worm test is ever positive, do we use the western medicine for that?
Here are some resources (log in at holisticactions.com to view these):
- Non member login - Holistic Actions! there is a webinar on this page, if you scroll to 1h 13min - they will cover heartworm: about the worm cycle, how dogs get infected, what to do.
- https://www.holisticactions.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Heart-Dis-ease-Toolkit-on-42F282F18.pdf In this ebook, heartworm is covered starting page 35.
- Non member login - Holistic Actions! at 30m33s they cover heartworms as well.
Regarding testing, twice/year is sufficient.
If a heartworm test is positive, the next step depends on the context of the situation.
In general, fresh food feeding, homeopathy, immune support, and the holistic and natural lifestyle leading to optimal Vitality and Balance will help before the heartworm dis-ease progresses.
