Yesterday 12/20 evening we had to have an HVAC person come into the home (6pm) and change out our thermostat for the heat, Fudge was behind a gate with his sister so he didn't disturb the worker, both pups were very worked up by having the person in the home. (barking). The worker was in the home for about 45 minutes, after he left Fudge was very uncomfortable-shaking and panting. He also did not get much sleep yesterday during the day because of the issue. He went out to pee a few times but his ears are back, very arched back and shaking. His body is very stiff when he is standing up, he's yelped a few times when being picked up from one location to go outside and back inside the house, very slow moving. I did the Assisi lounger twice on him last night and that seemed to calm him down. He refused his snack at 8:30pm. He slept for a few hours on the couch with me, around 10:22pm he started to get uncomfortable again (licking his lips and shaking). We took him outside and he peed again, and went into his crate. He was shaking in his crate, we turned the lights off. I woke up in the middle of the night around 3am and he was awake - I took him outside to use the bathroom and he was very stiff, arched back and shaking. We put him in our bed and I did an Assisi loop treatment on him. I made up a remedy that Dr Jeff and I discussed during our phone appointment on Friday 12/19 Ignatia. Fudge seemed to be on high alert for a few weeks, sensitive to noises and if I vacuumed he would work himself up to the point after I was done vacuuming a lot of downward dog stretches. We attributed it to some kind of phobia. Dr Jeff suggested Ignatia - I did not administer it on Friday because I wanted to make sure I wrote down the correct remedy.
Fudge fell back to sleep in the bed after dosing an Assisi loop treatment, we usually get up around 6am to have breakfast, but I noticed him sleeping comfortable so I left him and set the alarm for 6:30am, to feed his sister. He did not want to get up at 6:30am and started to shake again, we did the Assisi Loop on him again and he settled back down. We laid with him in bed, around 8am he woke up and was licking his lips. We lifted him to take him off the bed and he yelped, his body was very tense, shaking, arched back and his back leg was scissored. I carried him outside and he peed. When I went to pick him up to take him back inside he yelped again. I put him in one of his dog beds but he wanted to be in another one so he got up and walked over to his preferred bed. He continued to shake and was very stiff, he also started to pant. My fiance and I started to massage him and did an Assisi Loop treatment. He finally calmed down, stopped panting and shaking and is now resting in the bed. Anytime he moves he starts to shake-currently as I type this post.
I am not going to force him to eat today, since he isn't looking for anything might mix up some moringa paste for him My question is: I gave him the Ignatia at 3am this morning thinking maybe this was a phobia related incident but it seems like he is in some kind of discomfort by the way he is yelping. The assisi looping is helping to calm him down from these episodes but he isn't able to move around like he normally does. Fudge was acting normal all day until the HVAC guy arrived. I have given him Ruta in the past for his lumbosacral episodes. Do you think I should give that to him to see if this will help?
Fudge's background- diagnosed with severe IBD at 6 mos (currently 4 years old), lumbosacral disease lin January (2020), partial torn CCL in June (2020). I'm also concerned this might be IVDD issues.
