Rabies Vaccination and Titers

Hello,

My dog is ten. He had titers in spring of 2023 for DHPP and Rabies. All levels were satisfactory. His rabies is due in Feb '25 since it was done in Feb '22. Would I do titers again? If he has the rabies vaccination in Feb, would I prepare his system with some supplements to boost him up. Or if his rabies is okay in the titers is it possible to get an exemption?

Also, he tested pos for Lyme last summer so would a C6 be repeated in several months to see the levels?

Thank you.

Hey Jen!
Would I do titers again?
If you want the information, yes. Personally I don't routinely run titers unless a kennel, training facility, etc. requires them.
If he has the rabies vaccination in Feb, would I prepare his system with some supplements to boost him up.
The best thing to do is to optimize his internal balance with a vet homeopath.

You can also use this for 2 weeks before and after the vaccine:

Or if his rabies is okay in the titers is it possible to get an exemption?
Yes, it may be possible.
Also, he tested pos for Lyme last summer so would a C6 be repeated in several months to see the levels?
Yes, monitoring C6 and urine (for protein loss) is a good idea.

Thank you. The reason we gave titers was to see if he needed DHPP. Otherwise, I believe the rabies is the only one required by law. Correct?
Thank you.

Correct!

IS the Jackson Galaxy Vaccine detox remedy in place of a Lyssin or Thuja protocol?

Yes. With flower essences you don't run the risk of stirring things up as you would with any homeopathic protocol.

Homeopathic medicines are best used based on the individual response to the stressor (in this case the vaccine). Most individuals that get vaccinated do not react in a way that would indicate Thuja or Lyssin.

I may not even use these remedies at all in the prevention and treatment of vaccinosis.

You can read more in the vaccinosis ebook in your HA! member area.

The best prevention is optimizing balance using nature medicine (e.g. sniff walks, play, more time outside) and constitutional homeopathy a few weeks before vaccination.

I am comfortable using flower essences. I have not seen them stir things up.
Many good holistic and even homeopathic vets do recommend "vaccine" remedies. However, I agree that a remedy can stir things up.
Definitely also optimize balance.

I would recommend checking the actual rabies vaccine laws in your area if you are concerned about legality. States are all different. Sometimes the laws are at the county and local level. In my current county there are no rabies laws unless overridden by local municipalities. A friend of mine in Ohio has no rabies laws where she lives. I would check rather than assume what the laws are.
