My kitty, 14 yrs of age, about a month ago began losing her appetite and within a few days stopped eating. I took her to the vet for blood work etc. She is anemic, blood work shows creatin levels really high, white cell count abnormal. He diagnosed haemobartonella and gave me a prescription for a month-long regimen of antibiotics and a special diet for kidney issues. I tried 1 day of the antibiotics (then stopped as my gut told me this was not the right protocol for her) but no success with the food. She was losing weight rapidly. Back to the vet, whereupon palpating her abdomen, he discovered a large hard lump. Ultrasound confirmed a large mass attached to her pancreas, as well as a possible mass inside her left kidney. We are now having to force feed her and give her a nutrition supplement (a product made by Virbac) Nutrition is one thing, getting her to a state of health is another. I repertorised her case and came up with Merc. 30C 10 drops in a quarter cup of water, 2 ml in a syringe, which I started yesterday. I guess I am wondering where I go from here. Also giving her Bach Floral Wild Rose and Aspen which seems to have improved her behavior in terms of her no longer hiding all the time.
