Hard stools

I was wondering if giving some digestive enzymes might be helpful? My one dog is approaching 17 and her stools were becoming inconsistent, sometimes too loose and other times too hard. I read where older dogs sometimes do not produce enough enzymes. I started her on the following product to help her digest her food better and it is working amazingly well. I am not sure this applies to your situation but just thought it might help.

Sure, it's a good one to start with. Then keep rotating through others. When you finish with one probiotic, then start another, etc.

Just follow the directions on the label. If you're more comfortable starting with a 1/2 dose, that's fine as well. Then work up to the label dose.

I just took the picture of my cat's wound. Is it okay for her to no longer wear the hood so she can lick it?

I wouldn't. Are you still warm compressing? It looks swollen but hard to tell from the pictures.

FWIW, I concur, from my lay standpoint. Protect it for another few days, to avoid any chance of reopening it.

I still apply a warm compress once a day.

Looking better! It's still raw enough for her to re-open by licking though, so be cautious.
