Acute Vomiting in Dog After Eating Outdoor Weed

Hi Dr Christina, Thanks for the suggestions. I will go over those chapters again in Hamilton’s book. And yes, patience is definitely something I could use for both of us, realizing it’s a journey and a trust walk. Lol to fasting animals and ourselves. I’m in there with you. Thanks, Joe...

Acute Vomiting in Dog After Eating Outdoor Weed

Her energy is good. Her appetite is good. Her mood is good. Still wants to play. Still mischievous.. She hasn’t thrown up for a week. She just coughs a couple of times a day as if she is trying to get something out of throat or it’s just irritated. Thanks

Acute Vomiting in Dog After Eating Outdoor Weed

Thanks for the two sites. I have much to learn. Wendell didn’t vomit last night but did go through the reflex of throwing up , nothing came up. It’s almost like she’s trying to cough something up. I wonder if her throat/esophagus is irritated from all the greens she ate.. Happy Holidays to all!

Acute Vomiting in Dog After Eating Outdoor Weed

Conversation with Dr. Cooney: Hi Dr Todd, I booked appt for end of this month. Hope you received emails. On Thursday morning, Wendell ate tons of this common weed. She threw up some of it. I fed her usual raw food that morning along with her heart worm med. She seemed fine. Fed her again in...

    Fasting

So to follow up on this post: This morning , instead of fasting, I gave her 1/2 raw patty instead of a whole one, and added more veggies—tofu and yellow squash. She ate her breakfast with gusto and seemed satisfied.

    Fasting

My vet has suggested that Wendell fast for at least two days giving her only 2 cups of veggie broth a day. I’m not sure if it’s because the itching flared up or because I mentioned she hasnt been thrilled about eating her small batch patties seved with veggies esp in the morning. She eats it but...

Dr. Christina, Thanks for your wisdom and shinning a broader perspective on the situation. Im so used to running to a vet when unfamiliar situations present themselves. “Be safe than sorry.” I did give her rescue remedy and Perelandra’s emergency for animals solution. She seems much better...

Wendell isn’t putting full weight on her right hind leg with some limping

After playing fetch yesterday, I put Wendell in her crate for a few hours. When I returned, she was limping and not putting weight on her right hind leg. She doesn’t want to jump onto a chair and walking up steps isn’t easy. I immediately thought I should try to find a vet opened Saturday...

Hi Dr. Jeff, I appreciate the info on brushes. I got one and she seems to like it. Yes, I’ll just wait and see about whats important to stick with and what Dr. Cooney suggests. The Chinese herbs don’t do much for her symptom, so Im not concerned about not using them. (Though my vet might be)...
