Raw Ground Beef - Approximate Amount Per Pet Lb per day (if feeding twice daily)

Much to think about here...Let's see: the amount fed will depend on the body type, activity level, sex, age, etc. Every dog has different needs. Number two concern: feeding only once a day is far healthier, and, beyond that, varying feeding times, amounts, and contents is also more natural and healthier, I believe. Now, for ingredients: straight ground meat is not always best quality, and besides, is lacking in nutrients found in bone and organs. Ideally one would attempt to replicate proportions of meat, bone, organs in a way that mirrors "whole prey": more big pieces, chunks, bones, innards. Age, breed, activity level, sexual status (spay, neuter), and individual proclivities will keep the amounts a moving target as well.

That said, there are some prepared foods that go much further towards providing complete nutrition, such as www.greentripe.com blends of meat, organs, and tripe. A base of such products, supplemented with whole animal parts such as half-chickens, pork or lamb ribs, and whatever else you can obtain that is suitably shaped, will go much further towards providing optimal nutrition. In addition, a varied source of some vegetable ingredients, optimally raw, ground-up, such as broccoli, cabbage, green beans - almost anything you would eat, except no onions - will provide necessary factors - you don't need much.

Years ago I had a friend with a large breed who opined that her hobby USED to be dogs, but now it was FEEDING dogs.... Yep, that's pretty much it. Do some reading online - Dr. Becker's site, Greentripe.com, Ian BIllinghurst. Note also the many recommendations and styles from our seminarians - the recordings are available here - and note the varied approaches.

Straight meat is lovely, but it needs a lot of support to provide long-term health. Ask more. Oh, and concerning your original query: feed enough to hold weight and energy levels - less is more, especially with easily swallowed food which disappears in a flash: your dogs are going to look at you and say, "That's IT??? No more?" Stay on the lean side of amounts, at least until you become more habituated to the whole process. You won't starve them, and lean is ALWAYS better....
