Anything to save a fawn w an injury that had maggots on it? Wildlife Rehabber said euthanasia

Fro the pic, I cannot tell. Maggots leave when you pour hydrogen peroxide in the area. If the BEAM is Ok and the injury is not life threatening - worth a try. After flushing out the maggots (may need to use tweezers), flush with calendula solution, or hypericum and calendula.

Yes! As Dr. Christina said, having maggots is not a death sentence in and of itself.

My question is why did the fawn get maggots? Was she already down or badly injured?

Did the rehabilitator physically see the fawn?

Sorry I missed these answers. The fawn had been attacked by something and had more injuries than originally thought. Did not make it

I'm so sorry to hear that Judy.?
