Hello friends,

My dear friend's cat is 17 years old and obese. She has been diagnosed with IBD, pancreatitis and the ER vet said possible cancer. Not suggested for her to go under anesthesia due to age and condition for colonoscopy. Moslty eats canned prescription doc recommended. Sometimes raw rabbit but doesn't eat this regularly. Any suggestions on how to support her and give her comfort? Doctors always scare people into prescription food which is gross. What is best to try and feed her? THANK YOU ALL!! @annahagopian @Dr. Christina @Dr. Barbara @Dr. Jean Hofve @Dr. Jeff

You're welcome!
how to support her and give her comfort?
Thanks for asking this great question Anna, and thanks so much for helping your friend's kitty!

The best way to support her is by building and balancing vitality.

This starts with whatever makes this individual happy. Maybe share the Happiness Protocol with her:

Weight loss is also key. If the kitty is food motivated, then perhaps start feeding her by throwing bits of a freeze-dried raw food around.

This "Hunt For Teats" game both burns calories, stimulates kitty pranayama (breathing) as well as increases happiness.

Maybe she can order a food like:

Would your friend be willing to take the free pet health 101 class?

Is she open to working, even virtually, with a holistic or homeopathic vet?

There are many videos and webinars she can watch or just listen to at you tube for both Holistic Actions (Anitra Frazier, Bernie Siegel, Donna Eden energy healing, Grandma Nancy, Sue Wagner) and All Paws Pet Talk TV( Frazier, Siegel, Wagner, Neal Sivula on chiropractic, chris Bessent on foods including the one Dr. Jeff mentioned, Suzan Seelye on Tui na, Joan Ranquet on energy medicine you can do).

Also consider flower essences, Reiki, and EFT. Meat baby food as a treat or topper (and to make up for some of the quality protein the prescription diets don't have!).
