Focal Seizures

My dog Peanut is 4ish. He is a chi mix and weighs 11 lbs. When he isn't scared or having focal seizures, he is a happy energetic dog. Eats anything. A couple of years ago he started having focal seizures (another name is fly biting). He looks like he is biting the air. I am wondering if anyone has any experience and anything that has helped. I give him CBD and he is on a keto raw diet. Neutered. I have not given him any vaccinations in 2 years, not do I give him toxic flea and tic meds. They are getting worse. :(
I forgot to add that he most def has a reaction to noise. Thunderstorms, fireworks-it is awful.

Hey Jenny!

I'm super sorry to hear that you are overwhelmed and about Peanut's fly-biting.

You're in the right place to help! Welcome to HA! and thanks for making your first post.

These episodes may or may not be from classical seizure activity. Regardless, the symptom is significant and is a great clue to his underlying energetic imbalance.

In my experience, the most common trigger is the second rabies vaccination.

How often are the episodes occurring?

CBDs, the raw diet, and eating keto are great ways to start addressing them on a physical level.

Let's dive deeper though and also reduce (and hopefully eliminate) the underlying cause.

A great way to start is with the HA! 101 course. Perhaps try to do that tonight and schedule a 15 minute HMDM call with me for tomorrow.

Thank you for the kind note. I am not sure if he only had one rabies or 2. I did not give him one and he was 1.5/2 when I adopted him. I have a call scheduled for next Tuesday. I was just listening to some webcast. I will look for the101 course. I think noises may trigger them too.
