Bordetella or not

My Chinese Medical Vet wants me to give Wendell the nasal spray bordetella which is scheduled for tomorrow. She decided this because so many of her patients are coming in with undefined respiratory problems. So I scheduled the appointment. Dr. Cooney, I just found out, doesn’t like the bordetella vaccine. He says it causes illnesses. He hasn’t used it in 20 years. Now I don’t know whether to cancel the appointment or not. Can anyone help me with this delimma?
Thanks
Joe

Ps my vet thinks the spray vaccine is less harmful than the shot. I have no idea
We are in contact with other dogs on our walks, occasionally but we don’t go to dog parks, etc

Any respiratory problem that may occur will easily be treated by Dr. Cooney. When a dog is healthy and balanced (by homeopathy and all the good things you are doing) they have natural resistance.
I would cancel the appointment.

When in veterinary school I worked for 3 months at the NIH foxhound breeding colony and did throat swabs on every coughing dog. Though that was decades ago so I forget all the details, there were dozens of different bacteria, viruses and fungi found with the testing, so a vaccine would not be very effective.

If anyone is forced to get a "bordetella/kennel cough" vaccine, the nasal spray is the one to get since that is the normal route of infection. Most vaccines, when given by injection, are fooling the body since most of the diseases (including kennel cough) are not injected into the body.

Thanks Dr. Christiana,
I will not get the vaccine. So glad I asked before I brought her in.
