I was wanting to purchase a pretty strong CBD products for my greyhounds for the 4th of July, and one of them needs it order for us to cut his nails. Any great suggestions on products and dosing? 90 pound male, 80 pound male.

Try this one:

Try this one:

I purchased these and gave them the chewable last night. For their weight the dose was 3 (same for both), and it really didn't agree w rocky. He was disoriented, shaking, vomiting, he couldn't walk straight, when outside he was very paranoid, and he had quick feet but fell over a lot. His eyes were bugging out of his head, and couldn't stay focused looking at me. Chief was fine, just tired which I expected. Should I contact poison control? He just ate this morning, and his ears are really cold.

I'm sorry to hear about Rocky's adverse response to the CBD last night.

Did he also react to any fireworks this weekend?

How's his BEAM this am?

Regarding your contacting poison control, what's your goal? If it is to report an adverse reaction, then yes. However, you may also want to contact Ellevet directly as they can be very helpful and may want to modify their label.

Does it say anything on the product you purchased from them about working up to the full dose?

If Rocky is not better this am, then a call and possible visit to your local vet is a good idea. Maybe give him a dose of Nux vomica as you head over there.

FWIW- I would expect his body to be re-balancing by now but it's still a good idea to have him checked out to make sure that nothing else is going on.

His mouth is very dry....he is still super lethargic but can walk more of a straight line today. Since he is improving do you think he is ok? I am hoping this won't cause any permanent damage

Yes, it sounds like he is improving and very unlikely to have any permanent damage but I would still report Rocky's adverse response.

If you haven't done so in the past few months, its a good idea to have a vet exam and some screening blood tests to check Rocky's liver, kidneys, etc.

His last blood panel was in april....that was the reason I joined this site. I couldn't get answers from my vets regarding his change in behavior. Peeing in the house, lethargic, multiple daily walks cut in half, etc. I posted all of his xrays, and blood test results. I even paid $125 to Dr. Dodds and she didn't say anything was wrong with all that I forwarded to her. She said I could get their thyroid tested, but I don't understand how I can Mail their blood out of state and it will still be good enough to test. So if I go through that again, paying all the money to get a blood panel done, how will that help his issues if no one sees anything wrong? WE see things that are wrong. He is very antsy, easily startled, walked into a closed door the other day, just seems out of it. The CBD made everything so much worse hopefully temporarily

Fantastic that you have recent blood work, that makes it way less likely that there will be any repercussions from the Ellevet.

Yes, it is super frustrating when there are symptoms without any abnormalities on the tests.

It may sound weird but this is actually a very good situation to be in!

The reason is that, from the energetic perspective, this indicates 2 important things:

1. Rocky's vital force is strong enough to manifest abnormal symptoms (this is a good thing) and

2. The underlying energetic imbalance has not progressed from the functional (energetic) to structural (physical) level.

There are definitely ways to help improve the abnormal "mystery" (conventionally) symptoms without having any abnormal test results.

Has Rocky ever seen a trained vet homeopath (not just a holistic vet who uses homeopathic medicines)?

S/he would start by asking you to list all of Rocky's symptoms and create a symptom timeline.

Then the precise ways his body is responding to external stimuli (like the Ellevet) can be used to help the problem.

FYI, here is an image that summarizes this approach to his dynamic equilibrium:DynamicE.jpeg

Homeopaths need to be specialists. Dabbling, or part-time, homeopaths rarely have the acuity and dedication for effective case management. But luckily there are many that can work well long-distance, either by email or Skype, Zoom, or even telephone. Resolving a case takes more than just throwing one remedy at it. It's nice to have a supportive vet within reach, but they need to know their limitations and to defer to an expert. Perhaps you can stick around here and take advantage of one of the fine homeopaths to help your guy - if you sign up to take advantage of all the info here, you can get a consult to get you started, as well as support from a large population of savvy folks.
