7. limited vaccines - lepto/rabies - titer for past 6 years for DHPP - on heart guard - limited flea and tick preventative
Monthly acupuncture and laser therapy for 4 years
8. diagnosed w/ anal sac carcinoma last week - he had nodule on his anal sac (noted in 2023) which was too small at time to aspirate and presented on bloodwork this past week with hypercalcia. Has had overall rear leg weakness which assumed was aging/arthritic which he does have - increased thirst.
We met w/ surgeon who noted that lymph nodes in abdomen are too enlarged (7 cm - one) to operate, while anal sac tumor is only 1 cm and can be removed - no point to remove tumor without lymph nodes. We are referred to oncologist - meeting on Tuesday.
Currently on prednisone. Devastated and looking for alternative care - no MST has been provided yet, but I know there is a better answer
