There is a wide body of evidence that Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865) maintained a special interest in and appreciation for homeopathic medicine. It is therefore not surprising that many of Lincoln's advisors were users of and advocates for homeopathy.

Yet, then, as now, AMA was so against homeopathy (partly because MDs wives and children were going to homeopaths) it would not let homeopathic MDs be in the medical corps of the Army during the civil war, even though most were also graduates of regular medical schools.

Yes!! In Dana's great "Homeopathic Revolution" he writes a bit about the use of homeopathy by Lincoln (and Darwin and Mark Twain, David Beckham, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Mother Teresa, Coretta Scott King, Cindy Crawford, Bill Clinton, Vincent Van Gogh, etc.).

@Dr. Christina I live in the Upstate NY capital region, and had seen a homeopath for my constitutional remedy a long time ago...Dr. Larry Malerba. I remember in his office he had some B&W pics of old Homeopathic hospitals in the area that gradually closed their doors. So sad. What a fascinating article!
