Hard stools

Hi Nancy, thanks for your answers.

1 . I don't know if I'm giving enough fat. There is a lot of fat in the meat I sometimes give, for example in lamb 1000003463.jpg

2. I already give more meat than what the company told me to mix in with the vitamin powder.

3. I have not been able to find any other pure product of vitamin powder. I have also used both the one from alnutrin with eggshell powder in it. I saw no change when I used it.

4. Thanks for mentioning it, because I don't use it.

5. My cats don't really like bones. They only like a very small amount of chicken neck.

The meat definitely looks fatty enough to me. I wonder if digestive enzymes could be beneficial. My almost 17 year old dog did not seem to be digesting her food as well. I read that enzymes can decline as they age. I add the following to her food now and it is really helping.

Digestive Enzymes and Probiotics for Dogs and Cats

Is it because the raw meat is left out too long for my cats? I serve it in the morning and they eat it throughout the day.
And I give some new food again for dinner, which is left out to the next morning when I get up and then I remove that.

I have ordered this: Ultimate Probiotic 9 Strains with Prebiotics - Gut Microbiome Health f
Do you think I should still try and add what you suggest too?

A two week trial of a lightly cooked diet may be helpful.

The product you ordered is a probiotic and does not contain any digestive enzymes. The product I mentioned contains both probiotics and digestive enzymes. It may depend on what your cat needs. You could try the probiotics first and see if that works and if not, try some digestive enzymes. My dog needed the digestive enzymes because I suspect she is not producing enough at her age. I also recently listened to a great podcast by Rita Hogan on digestive enzymes. She suggested the following product. It is mainly digestive enzymes with a tiny bit of probiotic. This is something you could use either by itself or in addition to the product you already ordered.

I just wanted to add that I did a bit of comparing between the digestive enzymes in the Dr. Goodpet product vs the digestive enzymes from the Pet Health and Nutrition Center. It looks like Dr. Goodpet is not as potent and much simpler. I am not an expert on analyzing all the enzymes in each product but wanted to point this out. Simpler can sometimes be good too. I have not used Dr. Goodpet myself, however I do use the Pet Health and Nutrition Center product and find it very good. However, sometimes I would prefer just giving some enzymes without the probiotics.

Thanks for metion 🙏

I have this at home : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002YFBF...cd95e98f6a1eb&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl

Will it be enough for the digestive enzymes?

I would not use that product on top of the other supplements, it has kelp in it which can harm the thyroid, and will throw off the balance of the Alnutrin. Just get plain digestive enzymes.
