His beam is good even though he just lost his buddy Piper. Does this look like thyroid? I will be making a vet appt. I clipped him after the winter just to get some straggly dead hair off of him but this on his back is now bald.

Not classically, but as you know, it depends on the full context.

Has he had full bloodwork in the past 6-12 months?

Is he itchy?

Let's see what the bloodwork shows. In the meantime try adding:

Give it for at least 6 weeks.

So today Sherlock had his bloodwork so I’ll know more tomorrow with results. He did test positive for Lyme (always does) and anaplasma.
I had Lola with me and asked vet to check a small lump on her knee so she aspirated it and its mast cell tumor. Damn! It’s still small so she wants to remove it next week since she had an opening. She said she needs to get a good margin but if it grows to much it would be more difficult. Ugh

OK.

Sorry to hear about Lola's tumor.

What am I doing wrong?

Absolutely nothing Judy!

The best we can do is to optimize and balance vitality with fresh food, clean living, happiness, homeopathy. All stuff you already do.

It's impossible to outrun our toxic environment and pure breed dog genetics.

Sherlock’s T4 came back less than 0.5
Everything else was normal. He does have a slight cough from time to time but vet said heart sounded good.

Sounds like a 2-4 week trial of thyroid supplement is in order.

Sure! You can use up whatever you bought for Piper.
