Sardines in water

Yes!

Well - there you go - keep it up. But of course try other foods, too.

What a joy to feed a healthy food and see quick improvements

Dr. christina

Absolutely. It's a whole, complete food all by itself. Sardines are loaded with good Omega-3s, and contain organs, blood and all. Packed in oil is fine, though you want to moderate that a bit, too much oil can upset the tummy. You can always rinse them off in either case, as they tend to be quite salty, depending on your pet's preference.

Great question Richard! Thanks for asking it.

Feeding sardines applies to both cats and dogs (and people and ...)!

Most of what we discuss at HA! is universally applicable (to cats, dogs and all living beings).

It falls under the category of a One Health Medicine (OHM):

OHM also happens to be WHO (the World Health Organization) upside down. Perhaps that is a clue that it would be helpful to shift our vet perspective towards that of ancient cultures that saw all life as the manifestation of one consciousness and source.

The Native American Jumping mouse story that Grandma Nancy discussed during her wonderful webinars is a great example of the compassionate connection we all share.

The bottom line reason to feed sardines, other healthy foods and optimize lifestyle overall is that by focusing on the inner terrain and balance we can keep our pets in tip T.O.P (Terrain Optimizing Protocol) shape:

Hi again,
I got some sardines in spring water but they have a small amount of salt (.25g per 100g). Do you think it'd still be safe to feed in small amounts?
Thank you

Yup!

Severe heart and kidney dis-eases would be the main reasons not to use sardines in spring water which contains salt.

I give my girl canned sardine in water every Sunday - we call it "sardine Sunday" ?

@Dr. Jean Hofve - would you suggest skipping Moxxor omega-3 capsule when a piece of sardine is given in a meal?

YW Richard!
