Puppy has worms/is it contagious to cats?

Hello,

I was asked to puppy sit a pup who is being treated for worms.

Is it contagious for me to sit the puppy when I’m have cats?

Are there measures I can take to make certain I don’t pass it on?

Nope. Most stool parasites are passed by eating poop, eating contaminated soil, or intermediate hosts like eating fleas or mice.

Are there measures I can take to make certain I don’t pass it on?

Try to avoid contact with poop and wash up, as youn ordinarily would do, afterwards.
