Peanut Butter

Ideally it would be organic tho any peanut butter is OK.

I love peanut butter, but sadly virtually every commercial peanut butter, even organic, contains sugar in some form, or other unwanted ingredients. Even Justin's has palm oil. Yuck.

If you want to use peanut butter, as a treat (?), get freshly ground, peanuts only, nothing added. Sprouts carries their own and it's pretty good.

I think Trader Joe's organic peanut butter may just be ground peanuts.

We have some upstairs, so I'll check.

Teddy's is a safe brand also. What guidelines are followed for salt in the ingredients? I usually check what order the ingredients are listed, with the last ingredients having the less amount of "stuff".

Salt is okay, the thing you MUST avoid is xylitol (a sweetener), which is poisonous to dogs (and probably cats, but they don't generally eat PB voluntarily!)

Both my kitty's love PB!

One of them (Aviva the Bengal) even likes when I throw half peanuts that she hunts, kills and eats!
