This is a post for @JennieC

I have two kittens around 8 months old that a feral mom abandoned in my yard.
We took them in for now and one of them is throwing up round worms occasionally. I have found this happens if I do not put pumpkin and pumpkin seed powder in their food.

I took one of them to the vet and the vet wanted to give me a topical dewormer in which I did not want to use because i have heard many bad stories on this product. (I cannot remember the name I’m sorry)

I asked for strongid and they said yes we can use that however it’s not very effective. A stool sample showed roundworms and nothing else as far as they could see)

I am wondering if there is any other suggestion for the roundworm, or could I use the strongod and something holistic after that?

Both kittens are pretty healthy, are very active, have good appetites and seem happy.
One is an orange little tabby girl named Roo and the other is a gray tabby girl named Gracie.
Roo is the one that has been seen by the vet already and Gracie is going Monday.
If any other info is needed please let me know.
