Dr. Hovfe mentioned Ligaplex for ligament problems. Label says 2 caps per meal for people.. What would be ok for a dog? I gave her 1 cap already. I know Standard process is an esteemed product but I don't like the excipients in their products.....
Also, I did just give Blossom a Gabapentin left over from her OSS last October. I told the current vets she had some left over and I did not need any extra. However the dosage is 300 mg. I talked to a friend whose 85 lb Goldens are on 100 mg twice a day. So why was 300 prescribed for Blossom at 65 lbs....it says to give every 8 hours which I do not do. I just gave her a cap because she seemed painful (I gave her Arnica earlier when we got home from the vet hospital) Should I ask for a lower dose? I opened the cap and poured some out.
Has anyone ever used a brace. I know in a total rupture it is not appropriate but maybe I should ask about a brace for stability?
She is also on Dasuquin chews twice a day as a loading dose. I may look into Trixsyn which I have used in the past.
