Hello,

10 year old silver lab Digger, Had to have his broken nail removed. The vet gave him gabapentin to take for pain, but he is already on CBD. Can I give them together?

Thank you,

Missy

Yes Melissa! However, you may need a lower dose of the gaba to avoid drowsiness from the combo. of meds.

What is the CBD for? The gaba. + CBD may even have a synergistic effect.

He currently takes .5 ml twice a day of a 43mg hemp oil to help his arthritis. The gaba is 300 mg 1 capsule twice a day.

Which CBD are you using to help his arthritic discomfort?

CBDA is a critical component of the CBD used for pain relief. The highest CBDA level is found in Ellevet:

He takes the 50 mg human grade cbd from Charlottes Web. Thoughts? Also, did the thumbs up mean it was ok to give the CBD and gabapentin? Thank you

Ellevet is a more effective anti-inflammatory because of a higher CBDA level than in every other brand. Probably including Charlotte's, but I don't that brand specifically.

Yes. The only issue might be sedation from the combo. of the two. But if you see this, just lower the doses of the meds.
