Hi Mary-

Welcome to HA! and thanks for making your first post.

Yes, there are a number of ways (we may have discussed a few) but they would all depend on the context.

Here's some info. to start sharing more of the important context:

Hi Mary! Welcome!

Here is everything I know about feline hyperesthesia: Feline Hyperesthesia | Little Big Cat

However, overgrooming is different. It can be related to food or inhalant allergies, pain, endocrine imbalance, parasites, and more. A vet visit is a good idea to rule out physical causes.

In kitties, overgrooming is often a behavioral/emotional/stress-related issue. Easy and effective ways to address stress include flower essences and Play Therapy (Play Therapy | Little Big Cat).

Hopefully that will give you some ideas to start with, but of course please do post more information!

Mary, we'd love to hear an update on your kitty.
And have you taken the basic class - Holistic Health Care 101? That may help you keep your kitty healthy while you work on the overgrooming.
