Elevated ALT liver enzyme in cats

Hi my four-year-old British shorthair boy cat Snuggles had bloodwork and the ALT (liver enzymes) came back elevated over 300 - the top end of the range is 100 I believe. His teeth were badly in need of cleaning. I don’t know if that’s connected. Any suggestions for how I can bring these levels back down naturally within normal range or what might explain why they were so high. Thank you. Lorraine

Yes, it is. Are you having his teeth cleaned? If you are, then recheck his ALT 2-3 weeks later.

Regarding how to help him overall, a great place to start is with the strategies described in the HA! 101 course.
