Hi everyone-

Many of use the snuffle mat, promoting purring, and the hunt for treats game to improve internal balance .

Here is a video about breathing practices that you can use to help keep your lungs in tip top shape.

Optimizing your respiratory system can both improve immune function as well as reduce your risk of catching the virus.

Patrick goes into lots of great detail, and here's my short summary of some simple techniques:

  1. Breathe deeply and slowly through your nose
  2. Extend your arms outward and externally rotate your hands in order to maximize your breathing volume (aka vital capacity)
  3. When possible, breathe outside air near plants
  4. Slow your breathing and even constrict the back of your throat to sound like you are fogging a mirror (this is called ujjayai in yoga or purring in kitties)
