Below is a great article from our MD friend and homeopath Dr. Ron Whitmont.

He applies the principles of overall balance to the microbiome and bacteria that live throughout the body. These "good" bacteria usually help our pets (and us) to stay well but get disrupted, and sometimes permanently altered, by just one or a few doses of anti-biotics.

However, the amount of that effect will depend on the individual. It's so important to put "infections" into the context of the terrain and totality.
