    Bird flu?

Depending on how much time until I need it, I just take the package out of the freezer and leave it on the counter or refrigerator. Then peel back the top and leave it in whatever container I have available that it will fit in. Yes, some of the tissue juice and meat may stick to the container...

Dog Humping his teddy - how much is too much?

Great question! If he enjoys it and it doesn't bother you then perhaps just let him do it. Especially if playing with you, a Therapeutic Sniff Walk, or feeding a Happy Meal doesn't stop the behavior. Did you have Micky last spring at this time? He may just have spring fever (has spring sprung...

When to neuter due to prostate/cysts issues? Risks to heart?

Hi Sofie! Thanks for sharing the pic of Micky. He's super cute! 😍 :dog2:And also looks quite happy and self assured. It may not be necessary, as Ginny says. A trained vet homeopath may be able to improve all of his issues. However... Exactly! At this stage in his life neutering might help (is...

    UTI in new rescue dog

This is just the opposite of what we see with kidney issues. Diabetes would be a conventional consideration as patients can have UTIs, pu/pd and a ravenous appetite. Some basic blood and urine screening can easily tell between these two. You can also screen for sugar and ketones in the urine...

    Horner's Syndrome

Hi Brooke! Thanks for sharing the link to the forum thread with some of Bradley's history. Did you start working with a vet homeopath or other energetically oriented vet? It's possible, but my gut says that it is not. https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4951369 Yes...

    Hard stools

It depends on whether you're seeing any effect. Typically at least 2 weeks. Rotating probiotics from Adored Beast, Visbiome, Rx Biotic, Probio Defense, etc.

Arnica in place of Metacam after dental?

Did you see any change in his comfort level on Sat. after dosing?

    Bird flu?

Eggs would be my preference. Chicken from a clean and trusted source is fine.

    Hard stools

Yup. Sure, it's a good one to start with. Then keep rotating through others. When you finish with one probiotic, then start another, etc. Just follow the directions on the label. If you're more comfortable starting with a 1/2 dose, that's fine as well. Then work up to the label dose.

    Wellness check exam/lab work

Only if you want to do so. To me, the thyroid results look good. Perhaps use a more hydrating water such as structure water made from chia seeds: https://www.holisticactions.com/forum/threads/structured-water-synopsis.43191/#post-52337 In the past, this may have been an approach to consider...

Swollen, warm, itchy, bleeding paws and skin with hair loss on most of underside of my dog. Hookworms related?

Great question! Partially, perhaps. IMHO it was his inherited predisposition, and early life experiences, to internal imbalance that has rendered him susceptible to his health challenges. A well-trained vet homeopath will dead directly with this...

Swollen, warm, itchy, bleeding paws and skin with hair loss on most of underside of my dog. Hookworms related?

YW Renee. Maybe try one of these: https://www.4-legger.com/collections/recommendations-for-dry-itchy-flaky-skin?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwnPS-BhBxEiwAZjMF0rIex03rD0i7OT9uP5gRa8fJ8Q7Cq3ZmPXeondBONmC2KqfMEEtP7hoC2yoQAvD_BwE That depends on how long it relieves the itch and whether bathing is...

Swollen, warm, itchy, bleeding paws and skin with hair loss on most of underside of my dog. Hookworms related?

I'm so glad that you brought him to the vet Renee! Well, demodex is fundamentally due to an immune imbalance. You might want to consider focusing on immune building and using the shampoo. However, you won't get as fast of a fix as you would with the other meds. No matter what you decide to do...

Swollen, warm, itchy, bleeding paws and skin with hair loss on most of underside of my dog. Hookworms related?

Yes! It depends on the kind of worm and Panacur (fenbendazole) is often the most safe and effective.

Swollen, warm, itchy, bleeding paws and skin with hair loss on most of underside of my dog. Hookworms related?

I agree. Especially ones that are already losing weight and may already be underweight. However, in the long run, a fasting strategy to help with skin dis-eases is useful. As always, it depends (on the context).
