Hi @Dr. Christina @Dr. Jean Hofve and @Dr. Jeff,
My two-month-old kitten gets wet and raw food with structured water and raw goat milk/bone broth but I was advised by friends to have fresh water readily available for her via a water fountain. Do you agree? I do put water out in a glass dish and...
I'm thankful to report that all is well ... Dr. Gordon said Pipi acts and looks very healthy. Even though she feels very skinny to me, he said it's normal 🤔 . He also checked the usual - listened to her heart and lung, checked her gum and teeth...etc. :)
She got subQ fluid at the clinic today...
I like canned cat food by ZiwiPeak - when we first our kitten, we offered her that then switched to commercial raw food like SmallBatch, Savage Cat and Quest.
She just asked for food but ate a little bit (1/2 plate of what was offered) but this is a good sign.
She's so skinny (skin and bone) :(
We will get her some plain rotisserie chicken from Whole Foods (it was Hope's favorite).
As for Dr. Gordon, we'll bring her in nevertheless for fluid. What...
We gave her ZiwiPeak chicken canned cat food and she ate a little and now she's playing. We have also reached out to Dr Gordon's to see if we could bring her in tomorrow for an exam.
she’s playing a bit but still refuses food - I offered her hard boiled egg. Mason is on his way to the store getting some canned cat food she liked - by ZiwiPeak. Anything else we can try?
Should I try giving her water and or bone broth via syringe?
She’s on all kinds of raw food blends with bone broth and goat milk. Supplements wise, she gets fiber detox, via biome, pet ion biome, Rx clay, adored beast phyto synergy and organ powders of various kinds - not all are given in one setting.
Any recommendations on food? Cooked food? She turns...
Hi @Dr. Jeff, @Dr. Christina and @Dr. Jean Hofve,
Further to my thread here: Kitten Diarrhea
My kitten "Pipi" continued to have loose/soft stool since my last post on Tuesday (6/11) and had form stool once in between. And tonight (6/15), she vomited three times - first, it was brown liquid...
I am not surprised to hear that - who likes a smelly dirty bathroom?
I found this enameled steel cat litter box by Katchit: https://katchit.com/faq-cat-litter-box-katchit/
The surface is made of enamel and aluminum - I'm not sure if aluminum is a safe material to use. Also, what are your...
Hi @Dr. Jean Hofve @Dr. Jeff,
What are your thoughts about stainless steel litter boxes? I've read that the surfaces of these litter boxes are non-porous which eliminates odor retention and stains, they're more hygienic also. I'm not sure how kittens/cats feel about the light-reflective nature...
Hello @Dr. Jeff,
Our kitten didn't finish her breakfast and only ate 1/2 of her lunch. Then I just found some very loose stool in her litter box. Based on our journal entries, there wasn't any drastic change to her diet recently - in fact, she only likes rabbit and pork and sometimes we would...
Hi @Dr. Jean Hofve - So the company I reached out to never responded again to my additional question...oh well.
I found these organic wheat litters that I believe can be used for kitties: Organic Wheat Straw Litter | Blue Mountain Hay [can also be found on Amazon: Amazon.com] --> we placed an...
@Dr. Jean Hofve - This is the response I got from them today:
Our Organic Soy Litter is made from 100% natural soybeans, providing an eco-friendly alternative to traditional cat litters. It's designed with your pet's health and the environment in mind.
What does "Organic" mean in our product...
