Dental cleaning for a senior dog

Ok. He said that one route is to give him antibiotics for the dental pain (I'd do homeopathy, instead), but that's still not an ideal solution, huh? Do you have any comments on the Radiograph and Ultrasound?

Dental cleaning for a senior dog

Ok, went to vet yesterday. Vet was leaning toward not doing a cleaning. He said he'd probably need a lot of teeth pulled and has high liver numbers. Said he might have a liver tumor and recommended doing some testing before we jump into a cleaning. (A Radiograph and Ultrasound. ) Also said he...

Too late to give a remedy for vaccination?

Ok, I'm going to contact a homeopath, especially because he's getting dental work done in a few weeks, and I want to make sure he has support for that as well. Thanks.

Too late to give a remedy for vaccination?

Pumpkin got vaccinated a couple of months ago (triple rabies vaccine.....which I didn't approve... someone else took him). After that, he started developing more symptoms of arthritis. Is it too late to give him a remedy such as Thuja? TIA!

    Complications after starting raw

Update: Since I don't have the money to work with a homeopathic vet right now, we've been going at it alone. I tried several different homeopathic remedies for him, and nothing has worked. We're trying Throat Coat today. He just has a sore throat, right? Just to reiterate, the symptom is a...

    Jin Shin Jyutsu

I wanted to give a plug for this gentle Japanese acupressure. I have been doing traditional acupressure on my dog for a few years, with good results. However, I recently learned about Jin Shin Jyutsu, which is easier to do on him because I'm not putting fingers on him... I'm just laying my...

    Complications after starting raw

Thanks, Dr. Jeff, for the response. Regarding, "A", do you recommend he get the Bordatella vaccine? (We go to the park most days of the week, and he meets lots of dogs). Regarding "C", I didn't work with a trained vet homeopath. I just read on the internet that Drosera is good for kennel...

Dental cleaning for a senior dog

Tried that twice. The first time, there was too much going on, and this second time.....oh my gosh. He kept leaving half-eaten bowls on the floor, which I'd have to pick up. I kept worrying about cross-contamination in the refrigerator and the constant cooking, sourcing, and costs(!); it just...

    Complications after starting raw

Just following up on this. I've been waiting for a response for a couple of days! To give more detail and to reiterate the whole situation, I just searched YouTube for Kennel Cough sounds to make sure he indeed had kennel cough. Theirs all sounded much tamer than his. He seemed to have...

    Complications after starting raw

I just read on another thread that dogs' pain manifests as restlessness, uneasiness, etc. He does have that sometimes, so maybe it's not a 7, although he's spry and upbeat a lot of the time, so I don't know. Before the kennel cough, his BEAM was roughly the same. We'll get dental work for...

Just recently blind 8 year old stubborn dog

Lord knows dogs could use that. Good luck As far as the nutrition part of your comment, I dunno, I'll just say that I was following a very clean Medical Medium diet for a couple of years, and that did nothing for my vision. I think supplements and food are fundamental, but it's hard to get...

    Complications after starting raw

Yeah, random times when he takes deep breaths, gets up, etc., he has that slight "honking" sound. It lasts for maybe a second or two. Thanks for any help you can provide

Yeah, I agree. You understand. The only thing I'd pick at is the need for "superadequate nutrition". That's kinda hard, especially for your pet. Personally, I tried that route, and what helps more is the direct rewiring of how I see. I..e. Physically trying to see in a relaxed way. I don't...

Just recently blind 8 year old stubborn dog

I dunno if you're still reading this thread, but I wanted to throw out there that vision issues are mostly mental. Look up Dr. Bates M.D. I've healed my astigmatism and am working on the Myopia (have reduced a couple of diopters). Basically, relax, get lots of sunlight (food for the eyes)...
