Also @Dr. Jeff -- I started Charlie on CAS Options. I haven't given him OncoPlex and OncoSupport but still have a fair amount. Thoughts on giving him that too? Thanks!
@Dr. Christina -- your responses to Christie are helpful to me too in figuring out Charlie's new diet. It seems I can find on the forum whatever it is I'm thinking about!
Thank you both -- I thought about the association between discharges and healing but didn't think I see something like that in 24 hours. He still has the eye discharge, sometimes only in one eye (right or left now) and sometimes both. This morning both eyes had yellow discharge. I'm using...
I also put a lot of energy into putting Reyah on a keto diet using the KPS protocol. I alternated between feeding home made, Visionary, and applying the KPS ratios to Answers pet food. The amount she was fed was drastically reduced. One of Reyah's greatest joys was eating so her happiness too...
Thanks Dr. Jeff -- I've been asking more questions about him. He had the mass/tumor for a long time supposedly. I was told today that he NEVER was vetted by his original, and only, owner. All third-hand info since he went from owner to kill shelter to rescue. It's possible all of those...
Thank you Dr. Jeff -- I have history on Charlie from the time he was surrendered to a high-kill shelter, pulled to one rescue, and then transferred to a second rescue.
Below is what I have. Of course the mass removal was a concern but I was already in love! I'm observing and tracking...
Thank you Liz -- yes, Charlie is very handsome! I will definitely post more pictures and updates as we go along. I believe there will be lots to talk about with him on the forum and during Empower Hours. Wishing you a peaceful holiday season as well...Kristen
Thanks for the info!
I went back and listened to some of Dr. Sara's Empower Hour and got some additional detail from it.
Thanks too for the reminder about friends reading the forum..
I've been asked this question by a friend and I have no idea what the recommendations are! We talk about this a lot with dogs. What about cats? Harmful to do early? Advantages to waiting?
Thanks!
Kristen
Oh my, I've had dogs like that too in the past. One of my Dals shredded any fabric he could get his mouth on.
It was once recommended to me that when I would give Rescue Remedy to a dog (or any animal), that I take it too.
Wanted to add that to the conversation.
